Home Again

We’re back in Sheffield after a riotous night in the Clachaig at Glencoe on Friday. There are a lot more pictures here

full report from Mick will be up soon.

Some more pics

Leaving skye

parked up in front of the central cuillin. The deep notch in the centre of the ridge is the bealach after an casteill which we lowered into during some horrendous rain and wind.

Rest day

Just enjoying a large lunch overlooking the cuillin in a nice restaurant. Mick enjoying some waffles and trying not to think about aching back/legs/hands/feet !!

Done it!!

We’re on the top of sgurr nan gillean exactly 32 hours ten minutes after leaving gharrs bheinn’s summit. Dad is ecstatic: was handshakes and big smiles all round! It’s been incredibly tough but absolutely brilliant!

Am bhastier

mick is on top of the bhasteir tooth and only has one more summit to go!

Piccy

Here’s dad on the way across an casteill. Just three more summits after this one!

Whilst you were commuting / breakfasting this morning Mick has been climbing the epic four tops and bidean druim nam ramh. Scary but looking good for the complete traverse now we are on easier ground working towards bruach na frithe.

Good morning!

Up about an hour already, hopefully by tonight we’ll be enjoying a pint in the sligachan, ridge done. Grey morning, no wind yet.

Big day!

Writing from a bivouac in a cave 2/3 of the way along the ridge just under the summit of sgurr gherriadh. We have had a massive day covering 12 peaks and doing some hair raising scrambling but are safe and warm now. Just about to put the tea on! Set off at 6.30 this morning so we were on the go for pretty much 13 hours straight.
